Print Catalog

Catalogforce print module enables you to create high impact catalogs, brochures and pricebooks. Catalog force is not just a page pumping software. Its a technology that is designed to make it easy to product catalog pages without compromising on their creative appeal.

Catalogforce mixes the benefits of a database with the unlimited flexibility that desktop publishing offers to create catalogs, brochures, flyers and price books. Catalogforce's entire system is built on the premise of addressing the toughest problem areas correctly, which means addressing print. Cataloforce's approach to database publishing is to look at the database through the eyes of the designer. This approach has made Cataloforce the most effective tool available in the catalog industry that does not "impose" a database but makes print catalog production faster, less cumbersome and achieves higher content consistency. Catalogforce print catalog publishing software offers:

Product Database: A centralized product database that product management and merchandising can use to add and maintain product information such as categories, products, descriptions, pricing, and images.

Integrated with Adobe InDesign:  With Catalogforce, designers have easy access to the product database from a pallet within Adobe InDesign. This eliminates the need to hunt and gather copy and pictures and saves time for designers. Catalogforce automatically picks the latest copy and photos for a product.

Complete Creative Control: Content when output to a desktop publishing environment puts all creative control in the hands of designers while retaining links for text and images back into the database. This ensures creative freedom that desktop publishing tools provide, while making sure that content can be refreshed selectively from the database without altering the style.

Simplified Product Search: With Catalogforce, designers can easily search for products right from the publishing environment on a variety of criteria and reduce the amount of time spent on locating the products, and all pertinent information.

Content Tagging: Process of taking your existing desktop publishing documents and tagging them back into the database, thus establishing a live link for a price, description, copy or image refresh when the content in the database changes. This approach makes the content in a document live and hence the documents can be refreshed with new content from the database.

Price Refresh: Ability to refresh pricing for products without having to re apply styling. Many catalog products are priced at the very last moment. A way to automate this price refresh is highly desirable since pricing changes frequently.

Flexible Product Placement: Page Template driven catalog automation tools do not provide a flexible product placement. Or restrict designers to follow a set of pre-created templates or master pages. With flexible product placement, there is no need to rely on page templates and designers have 100% flexibility in product placement and positioning.

Integrated Asset Management: Product images are fully integrated with product text, copy, descriptions and charts making it easy to access all content related to a product. Multiple product images can be categorized with a product for print publishing.

Frame & Style Builder: This feature makes it easy to create product extraction frames and associate a style with the product attribute (such as product heading). It also allows selection of attributes that need to be extracted from the product database for print publishing.

Automatic Paragraph Styling: This feature applies paragraph and character styles to content upon extraction from the product database, thus eliminating the extra steps involved in this process.

Re Usable Table Styles: The ability to store a style in a library and re-apply the style to different charts and tables improves the effectiveness of designers since each table doesn't need to be manually styled. The same style can be applied any number of times with a click of a button. This feature also makes it easy to adopt a new style for an existing catalog since the style is stored as a separate library object instead of being tightly embedded with content.

Automatic Table Styling: The ability to automatically pick the style from a stored library object and apply this style consistently and repetitively to a table header row, first row and alternate rows at a cell level. Automatic Table Styling merges this cell level styling with the content in the database at the time of extraction into desktop publishing environment reducing several extra steps of applying a style.

360 Degree Content Updates: In some scenarios (such as text overflow) it might be easy to edit a publishing document directly and push the updates back to the product database. This feature allows designers to keep print documents in synch with other channels.

Automatic Page Building with Styling: This feature gives the ability to create first round catalog and gives a jump start on Industrial catalogs, price books, course catalogs, medical catalogs by automating page generation based on a selected template. Cataloforce takes product content from the database, and merges with paragraph styling and table styling with fully integrated page flopping to eliminate a lot of manual work for designers.

Image Search and Fitting: Creative departments that have several context specific images or product images that need visual selection can be easily searched, browsed and accessed through IMAGEsource plugin. This plugin presents thumbnails of images that designers can browse through and extract from the plugin and can be fitted to pre-created image boxes saving time.
